House / Villa - CARCASSONNE

The accommodation was as described and provided all required facilities and was in very good condition and very comfortable to live in. It is wel located within an easy walking distance to the castle and we found several restaurants nearby to eat at which were also very good. Bruno was very helpful and we would recommend the accommodation , overall a very pleasant experience. David and Patricia Australia

"We stayed at Fabienne and Bruno's apartment, Clomarie, which is in the centre of Carcassone. It is a beautiful apartment that includes everyday amenities like a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer - what you see in the adverts is definitely what you get. It is very centrally located - 2 minutes walk from the walls of the old city and 5 minutes walk to the wonderful markets,shops and cafe's in the centre of the 'new town' or bastide. The apartment was very clean, with a lovely view on the little square it is located in, with no noise pollution whatsoever. We really enjoyed our stay and the owners are lovely people. They went out of their way to be helpful and could be contacted very easily whenever the need presented itself. They went above and beyond their duty when our car broke on the day we checked out. We had to get the car fixed before driving back home, and they immediately helped us by calling the mechanic themselves and translated everything back to us as our French is very limited. They even drove us to the mechanic and stayed with us until our car was fixed, even though they were expecting their next guests that same afternoon. Just for that reason I would highly recommend them as they have gone the extra few miles out of the kindness of their hearts, which in this day and age is very rare."

"A wonderful apartment in a quiet area near the medieval fortress and walking distance to the city. For 5 euros/week the owners let us use a cellphone "just-in-case" as we couldn´t make calls with our own. They were very helpful and picked us up at the train station, gave us a tour and tourist information. The only thing we lacked were some special cooking utensils since we love cooking. We strongly recommend this accomodation!"

"Het verblijf was heel schoon, voldoende huisraad. Wij hadden ook een handdoekenpakket besteld. Dit was er ook maar het was voor elk van ons ( 2 pers.) 1 grote handdoek en een kleinere.Je wordt dus eigenlijk verplicht om een keer te wassen want dit is voor een week niet voldoende. Het huis ligt op een rustig pleintje waar je totaal geen last had van lawaai. Erg aardige eigenaars, spraken jammer genoeg alleen de Franse taal en dat was jammer want een van ons spreekt dit totaal niet. Ze hadden ontzettend veel te vertellen en waren erg enthousiast."

"Ce loft est idéalement situé : à 2 pas de la cité médiévale et pas très loin à pied de la ville basse. La circulation dans le quartier est réservée aux riverains, ce qui le rend extrêmement calme, particulièrement la nuit. Habitant à la campagne au fond d''une impasse, nous sommes assez sensibles au bruit et donc sur ce point, nous n''avons pas du tout été dépaysés. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques, prévenants, prenant le temps de nous accueillir dans les meilleures conditions. Un espace privatif clos est réservé pour garer la voiture, ce qui est très appréciable dans une ville aussi touristique que Carcassonne. Le logement est très bien entretenu, fonctionnel, spacieux, propre, bien équipé, bien décoré et agréable à vivre y compris par les fortes chaleurs où l''espace du bas conserve la fraicheur due sans doute à des murs épais. Pour les geeks, on capte la 3G sur la terrasse. Contrairement à ce que pourrait laisser croire un autre commentaire, la douche fonctionne parfaitement et il n''y a pas de problème d''eau chaude. Bref, un excellent point de chute dans cette belle région."
