The house is very confortable and well furnished because we spend week end and holidays’ period. Its size is about 70 square meters and it is very close to the slope of some beautiful mountains. There is a big kitchen with dining room and TV set, two bedrooms, a bathroom well furnished with shower, electric water-heater, washing machine. There is also a large, covered veranda with table and chairs and a small courtyard. Thanks to the big windows the apartament is full of light. " Cala Gonone stands in the center of the east coast of Sardinia, in the enchanting Golfo di Orosei. It is one of the most characteristic seaside and holiday resort location on our island. The village is situated on a tourist port, in a gulf which abounds in little beaches and bays, such as Cala Gonone, Osala, Cala Luna, Cala Sisine, Cala Biriola, Cala Mariolu, Cala Goloritzè. Some of these bays can be reached by car, or otherwise either on foot, by kayak, canoe or more commonly by boat, using an efficient daily ferry service. The ferry to Cala Luna also carries tourists to the famous grotta del Bue Marino ( Cave of the sea ox). It is highly recommended to visit this wild, unpolluted coastline. Hiring a boat can also offer the freedom of “private” visits to the above mentioned bays and to the coast. Cala Gonone and its sourraunding area offer yet more diversion: it is a paradise for trekkers and free climbers (the canyon of Gorropu, the Tiscali cavern, the land trail to Cala Luna). Inland on the outskirts of the village there are also beautiful caves, like the famous one called “Ispinigoli”. At the bottom of this pit various ancient object such as driftpins, earrings and bracelets were found, both of Nuragic and Punic origin. Cala Gonone is also well known for the Sardinian cuisine, in fact you can find there a lot of restaurants where you can eat tipical Italian and Sardinian dishes.
