" Brienno is a very small village on Lake Como with ancient origins. It has a Medieval structure with fantasctic and suggestive porches. The apartament is situated in the old town, with the foundations directly in the lake. The village offers you calmness and peace, mild weather (not too cold in winter, not too hot in summer) and beatiful panoramas; you can have interesting trips, watch wildlife, stroll among centuries-ols trees. Chances of trekking on the near mountains with an experienced guide; climbing. In summer in particular you can go to a very nice public park and some places for sunbathe. Also, you can find very nice historic and art places, like S.Anna's church or galleries of the 1st world war. It's a very nice for acquatic-summer sports like windsurf, waterscooters, wayer skiing, trips by boat too. In winter there's the Madesimo-Valchiavenna skiarea, far less than two hours by car. Brienno is also a good starting point for food&wine-tours: very close to Valtellina, Franciacorta, Oltrepò Pavese and not so far from Piedmont(Barolo, Barbaresco, Moscato...), Veneto(Amarone, Soave) and many other areas.
