Its feeling, its location in the village - walking distance to the National Park as well as to Dracula's Castle + the village's proximity to Transylvania's most exciting sites, the villa's design and features combining rustic and super-modern elements, results in what we love: smart simplicity, informal elegance, intimacy and coziness. Take just the mountain creek passing by the house, the feeling given by the interior, the fabulous view from the roof attic - between two large windows overlooking the Carpathian Mountains where the double Jacuzzi is located, the thermostatic taps of all showers, the high quality cotton beddings, towels and the extremely cozy down pillows. These and many other features speak for what the main goal of this villa has been: not a "fast food" house but a cozy home. Its content is not the result of a check list solved quickly and cheaply in a post-communist supermarket, but a long, slow chain of carefully chosen elements brought in from all over the world, offering the vacationers pleasure, relaxation and peace of mind.

Means of access If you land in Bucharest (cheap charters from different European cities):
Very easy, but you should have (rent) a car. We can help you with that, through a good and decently priced agency we found. Receival / return of car - right in front of arrivals gate / return in front of departures entrance.
Leaving the airport (Otopeni) you turn right (North) and drive towards Ploiesti on the "E60". You take the "1" driving around Ploiesti and continue on the "E60" driving NW. You pass Campina, Breaza, Comarnic, Sinaia, Busteni and Azuga. Before you reach Predeal, after passing a bridge, you turn West onto a lovely scenic winding road called "73A". Enjoy it for the next cca. 15 km till you reach a T-junction. That is the "73" or the "E574" where you turn left (S-SW). This road will take you to Bran. Once you reach Bran, you will cross a bridge followed after about 200m by an inn ("HAN") and some 100m after the HAN, before you reach "Dracula's Castle", you turn left onto Bran's main road. Here, either me or the house administrator will be waiting for you, leading you to Casa Heidi which is just 1 km away. Time and other details we will discuss by phone or email, prior to your arrival. Except extreme winter days, access with a regular car all the way right next to the house is no problem.
Hints and Tips New attractions appear every other day completing the traditional ones: tennis, paragliding, mountain biking, horse riding, horse-carriage or sleigh riding, mountaineering, swimming, driving ATVs, visiting tradit. sheepfolds, etc., but inside of Bran, the most spectacular and healthiest thing to do is hiking along its paths, its creeks, its hills, enjoying its wild peacefulness and breathtaking views. A newer, safe and fantastic thing you can do is bear-watching. Many more details on that and other in materials we can happily email you. The ski slope is just 2 km away from the house. This is where, in the summer, you'll start your walks inside the "Bucegi National Park": a great combination of fir forests, mountain creeks, wild strawberry, raspberry, elder flower, mushrooms and no traffic at all.
OK, before leaving Bran, "you may" also visit "Dracula's Castle" which is surrounded by a very good "village museum" where you can get an idea of how local farms used to look like. Enjoying the area's good restaurants will only complete the treat. We can send you detailed list, including "hunters'", traditional or veg. restaurants.
Casa Heidi is a great starting point for numerous one day trips in the area. The most wonderful Medieval Saxon villages, towns, fortified churches and fortresses are never too far.
