Gutschow House, built in 1895 by famous German architects Kaiser & v. Groszheim , represents an important work of historicism (gothic revival and new renaissance). Due to the complex façade design, its location and its history, the house is the landmark of southern Friedrichstrasse . It is the only house of the area which 100% survived the 2nd world war. Was this, because from 1910 until 1990 was here the Mecca of the Magicians due to the magic center of the world famous illusionist Conradi-Horster?
2006 the green party conjured a unique project: all tenants received the first right of refusal and got the chance to buy and develop this famous house by creating a partnership with investors (first were two former bank chairmen, later filmmakers). But why only we made use of this right? This is a part of Berlin living past and present that you can experience. We call it MyBerlinStyle.---Live like in a palace in a 1350 sq. feet bright, quiet and comfortable luxury apartment with a 538 sq. feet living room and 13 feet high mahogany ceiling. The national heritage monument has been 2013 fully restored (new roof, elevator, balconies, windows, heating, bathrooms). The decoration is of high-quality. For the health of our guests and wanting to create a sustainable way of living, we mostly built with natural and organic products like oiled and not varnished massive furniture and floors, natural stones for bathrooms and kitchen, clay walls, organic wall paint. Cleaning is made with gently dosed organic materials, no softeners, no perfumes.

How to get there

Free for children less than 16 years of age!!! 20% discount for all 'last minute' bookings (not earlier than 14 days before arrival) !!! The MINIMUM PRICE is for 1 to 4 persons, inclusive of electricity, heating and water consumption. Each additional person has to pay € 25 extra per night. 30% additional charge for short term bookings over the week end. 250 Euro refundable security deposit. Full payment by booking. Final cleaning upon agreement. For our team’s operation there is a flat rate of € 80, inclusive of bedding and towels. During New Year's Eve and Berlinale there will be a 30% increase and minimum stay is 5 nights. Berlin Marathon 30% increase. CHECK-IN from 3pm until any time, CHECK-OUT up to 10am, but the luggage can be stored any time in a luggage room.---CANCELLATION. The guest can cancel anytime in writing the rental contract. Our principle: in case of successful replacement bookings, except from last minute (see pricing information), then the original guest shall receive the full deposit refunded, minus a processing fee of € 35. For the nights were no replacement bookings will be made, the following cancellation fees apply: up to 46 days prior to arrival - 25%, between 45 and 31 days prior to arrival - 50%, between 30 and 16 days prior to arrival - 80%, between 15 days prior to arrival and departure - 100%. "Ich bin öfters ins Hotels gegangen, aber dieser FeWo ist einfach besser als jede Royal Suite! Als erste Mieter kann ich nur 5 Sterne schenken. Wenn man dort ankommt, wird man zu diesen Wündern stössen : 1- Die Wohnung ist Komplett und sehr luxuriös eingerichtet, ohne der Bio bzw. Eco-gefühl zu vergessen! Die Matratzen sind "Exzellent", besonders gut nach einen langen Tag im Berlin. Die Küche ist Komplett um alles zu Kochen oder Vorbereiten, ein Esstisch ist für die Könige da ! 2- Ein Nette und herzliche Familie (der Vermieter) empfängt und hilft bei jede Frage oder Wunsch. 3- Das Gebäude befindet sich im Zentrum vom Berlin Mitte (Also mehr geht's nicht) Ein paar Minuten zur Check Point Charlie, 5 Minuten zur Postdamerplatz, usw... 4- Ein Parkplatz ist neben der Gebäude zur Verfügung. 5- Am check point Charlie, mann hat die Möglichkeit Fahrräder zu mieten. 6- Neben die FeWo, mann hat ein 24/7 Bäckerei, mehrere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und Bars... Wird gerne wieder dort Mieten... Ich kann es nur empfehlen... Besser gibt es einfach Nichts !!! Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Aufenthalt im Berlin !!! I go very often to Hotels, but this holiday flat is just better than any Royal Suite! As a first renter, I can give a minimum of 5 Stars and more for this apartment. When you arrive there, you will confront the following Wonders: 1- The apartment is completely with a luxurious flair furnished, without forgetting the Bio and/or Eco-touch! The Mattresses are “Perfect”, especially after a long day visiting Berlin. The Kitchen is ready for any kind of cooking or preparing small snacks. A beautiful dining Table is also there for a royal dinner! 2- A sincere Family, the landlord, welcome you warmly and is ready to answer your questions and/or your requests. 3- The Building is in the center of Berlin, only some minutes to the Check Point Charlie and to the Postdamer Palz. 4- A Parking near the Building is at your disposal to park. 5- At the Check point Charlie, you have the possibility to rent bicycles and to visit easily Berlin’s most beautiful monuments. 6- Near the flat, you have a 24h /7 days Bakery, some good Bars, Restaurants and shopping facilities. I will surely rent this flat the next time I go to Berlin! I am already excited about it! Je me loge souvent dans differents hôtels, mais cet apartement est mieux que tout Suite Royale. Etant le premier qui se loge dans cet apartement, je ne peux que de le donner 5 étoiles. Lorsqu’on arrive là-bas, nous retrouvons les merveilles suivantes: 1- L’appartement est complètement aménagé, d’une manière luxurieuse sans oublié le flair Bio ou Eco. Les matelas sont “excellents”, spécialement après une journée épuisante à Berlin. La cuisine est dsponible pour tout genre de preparation ou de cuisson. Une table de sale à manger est là pour que les Rois savoure leurs Repas. 2- Une aimable et chaleureuse Famille (le loueur) vous acceuil et essaye de vous aider pour toute question ou demande. 3- L’immeuble se trouve dans le centre de Berlin. Quelques minutes pour arriver au Check Point Charlie ou à Postdamer Paltz… On ne peux trouver mieux que ca ! 4- Un aire de stationnement est pour disposition. 5- Au check point Charlie, on a la possibilité de louer des vélos pour visiter les jolies monuments de Berlin au mieux possible. 6- à coté de l’appartement, on trouve une boulangerie ouvert 24h/24h et 7j/7j aussi que different restaurants und Bars... Je reviendrai surement louer cet appartement... Je ne peux que de le conseiller... Tout simplement, vous n’en trouverez pas mieux que cet appart !!! Je me réjouis déjà de ma prochaine visite à Berlin !!!"
