Charming penthouse between ramblas ,montuic y plaza espana

"This apartment has been very recently refurbished and it has been done very well. It is spotless, quiet and has everything you need. It is in a mainly residential area, very safe and off the main street, but extremely convenient for buses, metro, etc. There''s a supermarket at the end of the road and lots of fruit and veg shops. Both Denis, the owner, and his friend who came to return our deposit and collect the keys are super friendly. If you are traveling from the airport, take the bus to Placa Espanya and then either take another bus, or the metro (1 stop) to Poble Sec. Leave the metro via the Parlament exit, cross over and walk up the road directly opposite, taking the left side where the road forks. The apartment is a couple of blocks up on the left. On the way call in at the fantastic panaderia selling artisanal bread and utterly delicious cakes and pastries (and where the staff are also super friendly - and speak English). The apartment is on the top floor of the building and there is no lift, so if you have a mobility problem this one''s not for you. If you don''t, it''s well worth the climb because you get a great view of Montjuic and no noise from overhead neighbours. Two stops on the metro will get you to Drassanes where you can walk along the seafront to the beach at Barceloneta. Two or three more stops will get you to Placa de Catalunya which is the main hub for the Ramblas, Cathedral, shops. So, really convenient all round (it may be useful to know that there is a massive supermarket in the basement of the main El Corte Ingles dept store on Placa de Catalunya). We''ve been to Barcelona quite a few times and next time, if the apartment is free, it will be our first choice. "

à 5 grosses minutes du métro poble sec. Tous ce qu'il fait pour faire les courses en bas de l'immeuble : boulangerie, "boucherie" et une superette ouverte même le dimanche. Certes 5 +1 étage à monter mais l'appartement est bien refait et très bien équipé, la literie de bonne qualité. Pas de bruit des voisins, parfois un peu de la rue. Quasi parfait.

Appartement sympathique et au calme après une journée dans l'agitation de Barcelone (peut-être du double vitrage dans la chambre double serait un plus). Les 6 étages à monter se font très facilement. la situation permet de tout faire à pied ou en métro (au bas de la rue). Pain tout chaud excellent à la supérette en face !

Effectivement, il y a de nombreuses marches pour accéder à l'appartement et l'escalier n'est pas très large (attention aux grands bagages, notamment les grosses valises), mais une fois qu'on le sait, pour le reste, ce n'est que du bonheur : un appartement très fonctionnel, propre, voire neuf, parfaitement équipé, remarquablement situé avec des accès immédiats aux transports et à certains lieux essentiels (monuments, lieux de visite, supermarché, boulangerie ...). La literie est de qualité, même la connexion Internet garantit un débit élevé. Le quartier est calme, même si quelques évènements extérieurs dans la rue peuvent être entendus dans l'appartement à de très rares moments. L'accueil du propriétaire est sympathique et efficace. Non avare de conseil, il saura prodiguer les dernières informations pour affiner votre séjour. Dernier point, la gestion de la voiture. L'arrivée à l'adresse indiquée est quasi directe de l'autoroute et les rocades de Barcelone. Avec l'aide de notre propriétaire, nous avons stationné notre voiture dans un garage (15 euros par jour) à 800m du logement. Là encore, un accueil charmant et pour avoir laissé la voiture du mardi après-midi au vendredi matin, nous n'avons été facturé que de 3 jours ! Bon nombre de garage français en auraient facturé 4... Bref un excellent séjour et une location que je recommande.
