Best points about the property:
" Located on a farm only 2.5 miles from Banagher town in Co. Offaly, Ireland. The Ashtree Cottage has the feeling of seclusion while it is actually well placed to tour Ireland and is within easy walking distance of the River Shannon!
We do not charge extra for electricity.
Ideally located to tour the rest Ireland
The Ashtree Cottage is brand new but we have incorporated lots of old features into it. There is a big open fire in the living room and the kitchen is pine wood. The heating and hot water is by the geothermal system.
There are beams in the raised ceiling. This cottage has 3 bedrooms (2 double
and a twin room) two rooms are ensuite shower and w.c. The master bedroom
opens into the main bathroom. The main bathroom has a slipper bath and has
pine wood panelling and celtic ironwork mirrors. We have planted and laid out the garden and it is looking good. It is a lovely cottage, we have put a huge amount of work and planning into it. The cottage will accommodate 6 people but it would be not be too big for less people.
Walking:
There are several walking routes in the area including
The Offaly Way on the banks of the Grand Canal,
The 66km Slieve Bloom Way passes deep glens and beautiful waterfalls.
The Clara Bog, The Lusmagh Bog Walk and Lough Boora Parklands allow you to walk on a flat landscape of unbelievable natural beauty and rare animal and plant species. All these walks promises the tranquillity of an unspoiled landscape
Golf:
There are at least five excellent golf courses within easy reach of Banagher.
