" Stay in part of a recently renovated fermette within the village of Badens. Sample the flavours of the area with locally made patisseries and locally produced wine, all while sitting in the walled patio/garden area surrounded by fragrent flowers and herbs, overlooking vineyards. Baby sitting and assistance with care provision available at an additional charge. The interior of the property has been decorated to sympathetically respond with the farming heritage, wooden floors throughout and beams in the living room reinforce the history of the property. The main bedroom has double doors which oper directly onto the patio/garden area which enhances the holiday feeling and sense of relaxation. While the property does not have a bath, the shower is large and can accommodate a baby bath which can be used for toddlers who are reluctant to shower. "

See the personal website of the owner" The property is situated within a village surrounded by vineyards, the village has a boulangerie, bar, post office, hairdresser, butchers, garage, plus a number of wine producers which offer wine tasting and advice on local wines. Trebes (4km)with its abundance of flowers has many restaurants, supermarkets, chemists, butchers, bank, English Book Shop, covered swimming pool, tennis courts and Tourist Information Office. It is also possible to take a trip along the Canal du Midi which is extremely relaxing,or alternatively perhaps a swim or enjoy the beach at La de la Cavayere. A trip to the area would not be complete without a trip to Carcassonne to learn about local history and marval at the impressive architecture and buildings. The firework display on the 14th July is not to be missed. A visit to the Aude provides an opportunity to expore many historical sites, enjoying the scenery and sample a little piece of France. The Cistercian abbey of Fontfroide, the Vlll century abbey of St Hilaire, Narbonne, Mirepoix and Limoux are all worth investigating and exploring. If walking around historic towns or buildings is not to your liking, you could visit the Ostrich Park, Les Aigles de la Cite or the Australian Park to name just a few local attraction in the area. "

Go through Trebes and take the road towards Marseillette, take the second road signposted to Badens as this will take you directly to the gite. By Air: Carcassonne airport is the nearest and is approx. 25minutes away. Ryanair, fly in from a variety of airports in the UK, Perpignan, Toulouse and Montpelier airports are also reasonably close and are served by a number of companies such as Easyjet and other low cost companies.
