A 6 km from Avola is Noto, a small Baroque jewel and 15 minutes from Siracusa Avola, famous for its Greek culture, with numerous archaeological sites like the Greek Theater, the Ear of Dionysius, La Cave Cordari. Also the Ortigia's Island in just one square kilometer contains Greeks Temples, Palaces Swabians, Aragonese and Barocchi and Arab streets. Not far from the Reserve Vendicari. At 80 Km there Catania, on the slopes of Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe and near Taormina, Noto, Siracusa, Modica beautiful Cities. "

For those who want to reach Sicily by air the nearest airport is the airport of Catania Fontanarossa International, which is 70 km from Avola. Another stop is located in Sicily at Palermo, which is the airport at Punta Raisi, about 250 km in both airports there is the possibility of renting a car or take a bus to reach the goal. If you want to reach Sicily by boat you can start from Genoa, Livorno and Civitavecchia to Palermo with landing (they are fast ships). If you picked up in Naples is landing in Catania and the vessels of the TTT Lines. If you picked up in Salerno disembark at Messina (a 2 hours drive from Avola). By car from Messina or Palermo reach Avola along the motorway Catania-Messina and Palermo-Catania.
