Best points Le Logge di Sopra is a family run B&B located in the countryside, in the heart of the “Crete senesi”, on the panoramic “Lauretana” road, famous for its ancient “biancane” (clay knolls). It stands in a strategic position for a quick tour or a pleasant week full of significant highlights offered by nature, history, culture, gastronomy and oenology.
It is a former farmhouse dating back to the 16th century, skilfully refurbished respecting the original architectural lines and antique traditions.
The rooms, for two or three guests, furnished in the Tuscan style, are cosy and quiet, and have an ensuite bathroom (with shower, hairdryer and courtesy), minibar, colour TV with SAT decoder (DVB-S), bed and bath linen, table, and mosquito net at the windows.
The pool is inside the garden, and it is 6m x 12 m with diving board. You can at all times enjoy a beautiful solarium, where we can look a vast and suggestive view.
You can have here also breakfast into the beautiful breakfast-hall, derived from an ancient rural-room, full of deliciousness, from the cakes home-made to cold cuts and cheeses typical of this place, called Crete Senesi. We have also a wash machine, if you need it.

Means of access Driving on highway “Autostrada del sole” (A1), coming from east or south, take the gateway "Val di Chiana – Bettole" and follow the s.p. 326 in direction to Siena. After less or more 16 km., take the exit "Asciano" in direction to Asciano. When you’ll arrive in Asciano, take the s.p. 438 (called Lauretana) in direction to Siena. After 5 km, on the right, there is Le Logge di sopra (on the left, there is a brown sign with white letters).
If you come from north (driving on A1, take the gateway "Firenze-Certosa"), so also from Firenze or Siena, going on to Siena along the highway Firenze/Siena, take the street at the end in direction to Arezzo/Roma, on the right: after 5 km you’ll take (on the right, in direction to Arezzo/Roma) the s.p. 73 (siena – bettolle): after 500 mt. turn right in direction to Taverne d’Arbia–Asciano. Go straight along this street for 15 km and after the km. 13 of the s. p. 438 (Lauretana), on the left, there is Le Logge di sopra. You have now only to ring the bell on the gate... Your journey is over and we will meet you!
Hints and Tips The apartment is located in the heart of the “Crete Senesi”, in a strategic position for either a quick tour or a pleasant week full of significant highlights offered by nature, history, culture, gastronomy and oenology. It stands 275 m a.s.l. and 5 km from Asciano, a small town of Etruscan-Roman origin with interesting sites and a wonderful, recently opened museum with Etruscan finds and sacred art objects of the 13th century, and an Etruscan tumulus tomb. Siena, a city famous all over the world for its Palio (raced every year on July 2nd and August 16th) and its wonderful medieval palazzos (like the Town Hall in the shell-shaped Piazza del Campo, the majestic 13th century Cathedral, the Picture Gallery, the Museo dell’Opera Metropolitana, the Santa Maria della Scala) is only 20 km away. San Gimignano, a real jewel of medieval architecture and art, is 55 km away. We are 80 km from Florence, 35 km from Montalcino (renowned for its Brunello wine), 40 km from Pienza (inside the Orcia natural park, very interesting for its Renaissance architecture, but also known for its local products, in particular its pecorino cheese), and 110 km from Pisa. Other beautiful places near us include Montepulciano, Monteriggioni, Cortona, Assisi, Volterra. There are also thermal baths, always open, even in winter (in Rapolano Terme, only 15 km away). These are just some of the places that can be reached in less that one hour...
