" “Su Foxile ” is a small villa built in stones with wooden ceilings, charming, comfortable, quiet, provided with fireplaces and accurately furnished. It is located in an area of great environmental interest, rich in itineraries and naturalistic beauties all easily reachable. The climate is always quite windy and it permits to take pleasure of fresh temperatures also in summer.The quiet atmosphere and the glamour,which are a feature of the surrounding landscape,create in the travellers very deep emotions,while the local festivals permit him to appreciate the importance of traditions and the eno-gastronomic proposals of the territory.The building is provided with a large covered veranda, with a panoramic sight on a thick forest of chestnut and kernel trees. It is surrounded by a private and wide garden,with an external barbecue,deckchairs, a table with chairs and a small but pretty and relaxing swimming pool.The villa, with a private parking too, is completely independent and it is the ideal accommodation for a family of two, four or more people, who wants to spend a relaxing holiday in a direct contact with the nature, thanks to interesting excursions too. From Aritzo, located in the centre of Sardinia near the Gennargentu range of mountains ( the highest of the island), you can, in short distances and daily excursions, get to any tourist attractive town and any historic- cultural interesting place. You can get to Oristano( western coast)and Nuoro in about 70 minutes;Orgosolo can be reached in about 50 minutes and Arbatax and Tortoli( eastern coast) in about 90 minutes.You "

See the personal website of the owner" As the summer draws to a close, the season begins in Aritzo undoubtedly more varied and more enjoyable. In autumn, nature is experienced with all senses: colorful woods, the scent of mushrooms, the rustling of leaves, cooked chestnuts in the fireplace .. a good glass of wine and lots of privacy. Also from the gastronomic point of view, the fall has much to offer: the numerous wine fairs, festivals of cheese, wine festivals and festivals of the chestnuts are an irresistible invitation to surrender to the delights of the palate. "

"A fantastic welcome from Angelo and family - thank you very much for a wonderful stay. A truly personal service, whilst at the same time allowing us complete privacy (Angelo's home is on the far side of the village). We would recommend Su Foxile to anyone who wants to experience something other than the pre-packaged mass-tourism which is prevalent elsewhere on Sardinia."

"We stayed at Chalet Su Foxile for our honeymoon in early June 2008, and found the accommodation to be excellent.Easy to find, we drove from Cagliari to Aritzo in about an hour, and spotted the entrance to the chalet at the side of the road, conveniently signed. Angelou's wife had baked us a fantastic walnut cake to greet us, and Angelou himself dropped off a bag of homegrown broad beans the next day: both were immensely enjoyed. Oh, and a bottle of Prosecco had been placed in the fridge for our arrival. The house itself has beautiful gardens, and the interior is charming and comfortable. The views from the kitchen/living area are panoramic and very beautiful: perched high on the hillside, one looks out over hills and forest, and to the town of Aritzo with its colourful houses. If we hadn't also wanted to explore Sardinia, I would have been quite happy to have stayed-put all day just admiring the view. Also, an easy walk into town where there are many bars and places to eat. If you want to avoid the tourist traps and hotels, and don't need to be next to a beach to enjoy a holiday, then I recommend staying at Chalet Su Foxile. A perfect place for writers and artists, but for families and friends also,to just sit back and relax, and enjoy the most beautiful scenery and an insight into rural Sardinia. Our 5 days was nowhere near enough. I fell in love with place, and if I had enough money, I'd buy this particular property and retire there now quite happily.Thanks Maria & Angelou, we WILL be back!"
