Antequera lies on the famous EU greenway GR7 from Tarifa->Athens along the Med, 30´north of Malaga, in the exact centre of Andalusia. The lovely Lake District is 25´, Granada 50´, Marbella & Cordoba 60´, Ronda 60´(nr the most unique cave tour & the largest cork forest in Europe);2 hrs to Atlantic coast/Gibraltar;Malaga airport & Med beaches are only 35´ away with all water sports, scuba, fishing, boating, skiing, whale/dolphin safaris into the Med, guided day trips to North Africa. Very good access on foot, by car, train, bus, shuttle. Motorways 5´on good roads; 15% discount on airport hire cars/petrol. Scenic 70´shuttle bus to Sierra Nevada for skiing/summer hiking. 3 min. walk: the 3000 yr old fully renovated castle/gardens, the main cathedral, pubs/restaurants, a doctor, a pharmacy, playgrounds etc. Well-lit, airy, quiet 2 floor house on a wide, level street with secure free parking at the door, a bus every 1/2 hr, internet, full baby equip. A scenic panorama point looks down on the streambed 10 m. from the front door. We have friendly, tolerant neighbours. This is the real Spain! - very good value for excursions, long summer music festivals, birdwatching, enjoying cuisine, dancing, lying by a pool, learning Span/French/Eng at rapid language schools. Transport service, experienced babysitting, daily cleaning avail. Though the internal stairway is easy, the outdoor access to the scenic private roof terrace is rather steep & unsuitable for mobility difficulties.
