" The apartment is perfect for you if you prefer to stay close to it all, but not in the middle of it all. It is located in the pleasant Hoofddorplein neighbourhood in Amsterdam-Zuid (South). The 'Museum Quarter’ (the Van Gogh museum, Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the Royal Orchestra Concert Hall) is less than 10 minutes away by bike or by tram and the tram 2 stops right outside these museums. Have a slow walk through the exclusive P.C. Hooftstraat full of designer boutiques or the Van Baerlestraat for other fashion. In the Jacob Obrechtstraat & Cornelis Schuytstraat you will find small boutiques and local delis. "

" Popular amongst locals are the two Indonesian 'Tokos': Sinar Mas at Hoofddorpplein 9, and Warung Bandung at Aalsmeerweg 41. On a sunny day, there's nothing like a cold beer on the beautiful terrace next to the canal at 'Gent aan de Schinkel', Theophile de Bockstraat 1. Watch the cyclists and pedestrians heading for the Vondelpark across the road race to get over before the drawbridge opens for passing boats. Further along the same canal catch hip locals at Caffe Oslo at Sloterkade 1A. Located at a busy junction, it's a great people watching spot. Local cuisine "

Means of access :
The best way to discover Amsterdam is by bike. Rental bikes are available all over the city. Public transport links around the apartment are excellent; tram 2 from Central Station gets to Hoofddorplein in 15-20 minutes. Three bus routes (15, 62 and 145) serve the area and the main train and bus stations in Amsterdam. The apartment is also very easily accessible by taxi from the airport, a one-way ride is about € 27 euros and only takes about 10 minutes. If you decide to travel by car, I would recommend you park at the P+R Olympisch Stadion, Olympisch Stadion 44, 1076 DE Amsterdam. Bus 62, which stops across the street, takes you to the Olympic Stadium in a few minutes, so your car is easy to get to.In the area:

Quick and easy access to the flat by tram or by bikes : 25 min from the train central station located in the North of down town. This means that it would take 15 min for getting in the places to be. The flat is really nice and you can enjoy the provided furnitures. You should and would however take care of the potential noise you would made as the isolation between flats are very thin in the buildings in Amsterdam". Otherwise, the welcome and support of Claire is perfect, she is very attentive of your comfort and will give you also lots of advices on the way how to visit Amsterdam (bike renting office, etc).

"Me with my husband stands in this apartment in June 2012. This is a lovely, clean and cosy place, becides all of conveniences are near this apartment - 3 supermarkets, tram and taxi stations, park. The owner is very helpful and interested in the quality of your stay - she get us all of nesessary phones, map and is ready to help in any difficult situations. Only one thing - you have to be very silent, othercase you have a risk to get an anger of dissatisfied neighbour ) but if you get off your shoes, don''t talk very loud and sleep quiet - it is possible, and you can stay here without any doubt!"

"My stay in this appartment one week in March: This very nice appartment is clean, spacious, bright, comfortable and tastfully furnished. The bathroom is nice as well as the kitchen. You will find everything you need. There is even a balcony. Everything spick and span. The neighberhood is genteel and quiet. There are shops nearby. Go for a walk and sit near the waterside or other pleasant spots. Only 5 minutes walk to the tramstop to the city-centre every 7 minutes. I had a very pleasant time.
