The village has everything you may need: supermarkets, bakery,taxi station,restaurants,bars,newspapers and bus service to surrounding villages and the city of Chania. Car rental is not necessary. Almyrida also is the centre for day excursions to wonderful country side around , visit the water sources at Armeni village, buy the ecological local products at the cooperative store in Vamos, the glass blowing at kokino chorio, and observe depending the season all agricultural activities ( collecting olives, picking oranges, make wine from the vineyards ).
