Modern city of arts and sciences with aquarium, IMAX cinema, science center (www.cac.es), America’s Cup Yacht Harbour, Formula 1 and motorcycle races.; Navajas (ca. 30 km): canyon with cascade ; Val d’Uixo (ca. 6 km): sandstone caves of San José with subterraneous river ; Casablanca (2 km to the North): beach promenade with cafés and restaurants on the beach; Canet de Berenguer (3 km to the South): small shops, market near the beach in the evenings, thursday afternoon-evening large market in the centre.
