" This old country house is situated in the heart of the Natural Reserve called “Timpa”, a steep protected area with a Mediterranean vegetation, overlooking a unique panoramic view, going from the Calabrese coast to the gulf of Augusta. The house has recently been renovated and it’s the ideal place for a relaxing holiday for a couple or a family, up to six people. It includes two bedrooms with old pieces of furniture and a kitchen which is fully equipped with electric appliances, table and chairs and all that is necessary for cooking. The bathroom, elegantly furnished, has a shower, a hairdryer, and a picturesque window with a breathtaking view of the sea. The kitchen leads onto a panoramic terrace, with deck chairs, a table with chairs and sunshade, a wash basin and an outdoor shower. The house is equipped with gas stove and electric heater for the winter season, air conditioning and electric ceiling fans for the hotter season. "

" The house is only 500 meters from Acireale, a small town near Catania, and an important tourist site for the beautiful baroque style of its buildings and churches. It is also one of the most famous Carnival towns in Sicily. 5 minutes by car will take you to Santa Maria La Scala, a small picturesque fishing village, where you can sunbathe on the black lava rocks, swim in a blue sea, and taste delicious fresh fish dishes. Going towards Catania (15 Km.) there are other famous fishing villages: Acitrezza, Capomulini and Acicastello, with its Norman castle, on a lava cliff overhanging the sea. Some of the most important tourist sites on the eastern coast of the island, such as Taormina, Syracuse and Caltagirone, with its world famous ceramics, can be easily reached taking the highways and, of course, not to be missed, the volcano Etna. "

First take Etna Trasporti busline to Acireale. Then take the bus to Santa Tecla (Zappalà and Torrisi busline). "L'appartement et la situation sont supers, par contre nous avons été désagréablement surpris par la proximité d'une route très bruyante, dès 5h du matin! Impossible de dormir correctement, nous avons failli partir avant la fin du séjour. Dommage, le reste était ok, l'accueil correct. ce serait bien que ce soit signalé dans le descriptif."

"Casa pulita e spaziosa, cucina attrezzata e fantastico terrazzo panoramico. Contesto bellissimo, giardino immenso e comodo vialetto per parcheggiare l''auto. Unica pecca: la villa è adiacente ad una strada statale piuttosto rumorosa. E'' un ottimo punto di partenza per visitare la Sicilia orientale se automuniti (il mare non è raggiungibile a piedi). Nel complesso ottima sistemazione e padroni di casa molto cordiali e disponibili: fortemente raccomandato."
