Lower Normandy since this is a land which offers a huge amount of different activities to practice. The region is composed of three departments:
Orne,
Manche and
Calvados, which would enable holiday-makers to discover mythical places such as le
Mont Saint Michel. History lovers may relive the great conquests from the Viking times at Barfleur or may visit the Coutances cathedral, built in the 12th century. Lower Normandy is also well known for what happened during the summer of 1944 when the allies landed to deliver France.

Gold Beach will not leave you indifferent. It is easy to rent houses for a
week-end or for a
short stay. You can also have a nice rendez-vous with nature because lots of organic farms let their doors open and make you discover how their business works as well as the products they make. Local specialities such as l’andouille de Vire or the Camembert from the eponym city will also be appreciated by food lovers. You could have lunch or diner in one of the famous restaurants of the area or go find yourself mushrooms in the wonderful forests that the region has. Moreover, the region owns many
