Some important information for your trip...
Dublin is one of Europe’s most vibrant destinations and boasts a variety of cultural attractions, historical sites and a lot of fun. It is reputedly one of the most youthful cities in Europe, with approximately 50% of inhabitants younger than 25. It was also voted in 2007 as the friendliest city in Europe. There are pubs and nightclubs across the city centre and in particular around St Stephen’s Green and Temple Bar. Live music is played in streets and venues throughout the city.
Dublin is also a popular shopping spot for both Irish people and tourists, and shopping districts include Grafton Street, Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre and Henry Street. As for the weather, the city enjoys a maritime temperate climate with some mild winds, cool summers and a lack of temperature extremes. Typically the coldest months are December, January and February, so don’t forget your woollies if you choose to travel to Dublin for the New Year’s Day parade!
