A magical experience in the Big Apple

Thanksgiving is a harvest festival, and traditionally, it is a time to give thanks to the harvest and express gratitude in general. It is usually a time for friends and family to get together for a large meal which is generally centred around a large roasted turkey.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual parade presented by Macy’s Department Store. It is held every year in New York City on Thanksgiving Day, which is always the fourth Thursday of November. The colourful parade features clowns, floats, marching bands and a number of celebrities. Some of the best features are the “falloons”, which are gigantic balloons representing cartoon heroes such as the Pink Panther, Spiderman and Woody Woodpecker.
