Music, culture and gastronomy

The first ever summer festival took place in 1998 and over the years it has attracted guests such as Joe Cocker, Ray Charles, Lionel Richie and Bob Dylan.

This year’s programme includes performances from Moby, Lenny Kravitz and Anastacia amongst many others. The festival will be taking place throughout the month of July at Piazza Napoleone, in Lucca, which is said to be one of the most beautiful squares in Tuscany.

Lucca is one of Tuscany’s best-kept secrets, with its ancient ramparts dating back to the 16th century, its cathedrals and churches, elegant traditional shops, medieval towers and palaces. Tuscany is also renowned for its wines, particularly Chianti, which go perfectly with the delicious Tuscan dishes of pasta and beans.
